That's the only thing that was available when I was learning, but when it came time to teach my kids, I wouldn't let them drive an automatic UNTIL they had mastered a stick shift--even the girls, well...especially the girls. I didn't want them to ever be stranded someplace just cause they couldn't drive stick shift. They've thanked me profusely many times for that.<br /><br />My youngest daughter is 29 now and she still prefers driving standard shift. <br /><br />Funny story: I have a friend in Hawaii who will only own a standard shift because she knows so few people know how to drive them that she's not worried about anyone trying to steal her car.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08998889466596184258noreply@blogger.com
