It's All Random...

Last night I was reminded why I married this guy.  We were enjoying a nice half-off dinner at Chipotle (thanks to this coupon) when a police officer walked into the restaurant.  Hubby got up from the table and approached the cashier.  He handed him a credit card and said he wanted to pay for the officer's meal.  He was a comlpete stranger to us but my husband is the most generous person I have ever met.  That is one reason I fell in love with him.  When the officer came over to thank him for the meal, my husband told the policeman thank you for his dedicated service.  Aww, what a guy!

I had some errands to run yesterday so I stopped by TJ Maxx.  It had been so long since I had been shopping that they've changed all the styles!  I needed wanted everything in that store!  I resisted temptation however and only bought the gifts I came for.  Tonight I am lucky enough to have a Girls Night Out to celebrate a dear friend's birthday!  What a perfect cure for this cabin fever that's weighing me down!

In case you don't know, this sign signifies when a lane on the road is a turning lane.  The reason I am blogging this is because it seems like many people I drive with regularly on the road do not know the purpose of a turning lane.  When your car is halfway in the turning lane and halfway in the driving lane, you are defeating the whole purpose of having a turning lane.  The cars behind you still have to come to a complete stop to wait for you to clear their lane.  OK, I'm just happy to have that off my chest.  Hopefully the dude who was in front of me yesterday will stumble upon this post.

This little girl came up to me while I was on the computer and very excitedly said, "Mom, I have poop in my hand!!!"

We made a quicky trip to the bathroom sink and took care of that little problem.

I am not doing the greatest at my diet right now.  It is because of things like this.  Yesterday for lunch, I was halfway through my bowl of low fat vegetable soup.  I decided I didn't want low fat vegetable soup.  I wanted peanut butter and jelly.  I gave in to temptation.  Do you know how fattening peanut butter is?  It's ridiculous!  And then I ate one of these pretzel crunch cups after lunch.  I know, I need someone to come whip me into submission!  I am still down 5-6 lbs. (it fluctuates back and forth).  That's still good but I'm not going to take off any more if I don't climb back on the wagon!  Is anyone else sharing my pain right now?  In some strange way, that would help me feel better.

Have a great weekend!

Wow, I love the story about your hubby. That's great--he sounds like a person I would like to know. And your "turning lane" story...I don't know if I've mentioned it on your blog, but what drives me crazy is when people don't use their turn signals. Really...how hard is that? Don't know how many "near misses" I've had because people can't grasp that concept.

Anyway, great post.
