A couple days ago, I posted this picture of an unidentified red liquid in a clear plastic baggie. Did you guess what it was? The answer: it
used to be a tomato! I sliced part of it off to use for tacos and put the rest in a baggie to keep fresh. Well, it's hard to keep fresh when you don't find it again for a good month. So there ya go....this is what happens to a tomato when you ignore it for several weeks. Yum!

I often finds baggies like these in my fridge. So glad to know other people lose track of things like I do.
Oh my.
My friend once left a sack of potatoes on top of her fridge for WAY too long. Not only did the potatoes liquify (!) but they generated maggots.
She says she still can't forget the image when she found it.
